2006 Highlanders Red River Regional
The Highlanders finished 2-2 in the Red River Regional, finishing in third place. The Highlanders lost to San Antonio 4-0 and then defeated the El Reno Braves and Oklahoma Black Sox, before falling to the Enid Pilots, who qualified for the NBC World Series.

Midwest Regional
The Highlanders finished their Midwest Regional run in disappointing fashion, losing to the El Reno Braves 15-7 in an error-filled game. On a positive note, shortstop Jamie Fowler and outfielder Aaron Williams were named to the All-Midwest Regional team. The Highlanders finished 1-2 in the regional, earning their lone victory in impressive fashion over the Community Bank Cowboys 3-2.

Midwest Regional Matchups
HIGHLANDERS GAME 1 RECAP Starting pitcher Ryan Bensch delivered a strong performance, holding the Derby Twins to only two runs through six innings, before giving way to the bullpen. The Twins were able to put up six runs in the bottom of the 7th inning, which sealed an opening round victory. The Highlander bats were unable to produce any runs early, but much of the lineup showed some promise, with Cory Underhill, Aaron Williams and Jamie Fowler collecting two hits apiece. The Highlanders face the loser of the El Dorado Broncos and Community Bank Cowboys at 3:00 pm on Friday.
Highlanders Game 2 Recap
Game 2 featured spectacular pitching from Josh Workman and Scott Holcomb, who combined to hold the talented Cowboys to one earned run. After scoring two runs in the first inning, the Highlanders bats remained silent until Jamie Fowler drove in Jeremy Watkins in the bottom of the ninth to earn the 'Landers a 3-2 victory over the Community Bank Cowboys.
